What is transportation? Usually we call transportation the act of moving something or someone from a point “A” to a point “B”. But is this conception such simple?

Some time ago we travelled mainly on foot. Then we used animals to move goods from one place to another. Once upon a time we realized on how to build ships and begun use them to transportation. Nowadays we have many complex mechanisms for the same goal: air plans, cars, buses, enormous ships, space ships etc. So, transportation is one of most important parts of our life.

All we are very socially. We need to communicate between each other, to exchange of different things. Any nation has some stuff and goods which doesn’t have another one and vice versa. So, all the times people needed to exchange. All the times people wanted to know what is “beyond the border” – beyond a river, beyond a mountain, beyond the horizon. Then they wanted to know is there a life on another planets and stars. Sure, there are no simple answers on these questions and every such question is a big effort of hundreds/thousands of people. But these questions could be with no answers if we had no such science as transportation.

Transportation is very important for people. Transportation is a part of progress. Without that part there could be no trade, no world’s discovering, and may be no progress.
