How to Disable GPRS on IPhone
Once I discovered that my new iPhone is eating money. As it turned out, the money went on the GPRS-Internet. It should be noted that in Ukraine, GPRS-Internet is rather expensive. So my phone’s regular trips to the internet did not makes me happy.
So I needed to find a way to disable GPRS on the iPhone. As it turned out, this possibility is not available.
One way to do it: delete the APN in network settings. However, this method will not work if your cell provider provides Internet services without setting. Everything else, it is also inconvenient.
Many recommend that you use BossPrefs to turn off the GPRS in the phone. However, in my case this program for some reason it does not work.
Then I found SBSettings. This application allows you to enable or disable the various services of the phone when needed. It can be installed via Cydia repo.
Now, when I need the internet via GPRS, I just turn it on. When the Internet via GPRS is unnecessary, I simply turn it off.
And my iPhone doesn’t eat money anymore!
